What you can expect

Take this fun-filled one-hour guided tour through the Sydney Fish Market and discover the auction, commercial wharves and wholesale areas. Step into Australia's new trading hub and receive exclusive access to the restricted areas. Inside the fast-paced Dutch auction room, experience how the fresh fish and shellfish is being sold in real-time as soon as they arrive. Your guide will show you around the commercial wharves, where you will see the different fishing vessels. From live lobsters, tuna, prawns and crabs, hundreds of species are being unloaded daily. See live oyster shucking and sushi preparation for the markets. Let your guide share tips on how to spot the best seasonal seafood and make sustainable choices when purchasing.

See how the fish makes the journey from ocean to your plate while staying vibrant and fresh. Along the way, your guide will share facts and in-depth knowledge about the clever architecture and design of the fish market. Finish your tour with a tasty seafood canape and a refreshing drink while you take in the stunning views of Sydney Harbour. This tour offers an educational exploration of the new seafood trading hotspot in Sydney.
