Stop by and buckle up for a go karting race in Otago where passengers as young as 6 and drivers 10 years+ can join you for a go kart ride on this 650 metre outdoor track. Reaching speeds up to 50km/h, these nimble go karts pack a punch and will have you zipping around corners and rushing down the straights during a 10 minute session. From check–in and race track briefing to your 7 laps drive with two introductory laps accompanied by a professional driver. Gather your tribe or fly solo – either way you’re set to have an extraordinary day at the go kart race track in the Highlands.


What you need to know

  • Full face helmet, race suit and race boots provided – just like a real race car driver
  • 2 x warm up laps of the race track with your pro-driver provided guidance & feedback
  • 5 x fast laps of the race track with your pro-driver provided guidance & feedback
  • Safety briefing
  • Pro driver in the passenger seat next to you
  • This experience is available 10am-4pm.
  • You must arrive and check in at Highlands at least 30 minutes before your booking time
  • The duration of this experience is 10 minutes per session.

What To Bring
  • Ensure long hair is tied up and tucked inside your helmet or down the back of your top
  • Sunscreen for summer Central Otago Sun
  • Recommend cotton tees and longer shorts
  • Gloves for the cold
  • Closed in shoes, no open footwear allowed
  • No loose items or clothing
Additional Information
  • We have a zero tolerance to alcohol on all self drive activities
  • Any injuries must be cleared by the Go Kart Team
  • Tandem Karts are speed limited to be slower than Single Karts and they are designed for an adult and a child
  • Our Go Kart Track is weather dependant
  • Driver minimum age is 10 years old and must be over height of 140cm
  • Passenger minimum age is 6years old and must be over height of 120cm
  • You must arrive and check in at Highlands at least 30 minutes before your booking time
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
