What you can expect

Walk through marinate history at the Axel Stenross Maritime Museum, honouring the life of Finnish boat builders Axel Stenos and Frank Laakso. The museum showcases the work of the men after they arrived in Port Lincoln in 1927 aboard the S.V. Olivebank. A great experience for both adults and children get up close to the large collections of relics and artefacts from windjammer days. Showcasing both indoor and outdoor displays, the museum has an impressive collection of historic vessels and a well stocked blacksmith shop. The museum also houses an extensive interaction photographic collection showing what life was like back then and how far maritime vessels have come. This waterfront museum is a must-see in Port Lincoln, maritime volunteers are on hand to answer any questions you may have and to share parts of the Port Lincoln history.
