What you can expect

Follow the Port Douglas Coastcare Walk around the area to learn about the town and see some amazing views of the surrounding sights. The looping walk stretches along 4.4 kilometres and is a relatively easy path, however it does include some steep sections which could prove quite difficult for some. All stops of importance are fitted with signs to give you a brief overview of the attraction and its history. In total there are 15 stops, each with interpretative signs. Make sure you bring your camera as along the walk you will be treated to amazing views of the Coral Sea, Trinity Bay and Dickson’s Inlet, making those challenging inclinations all the more worth it. The Coastcare Walk was created by the local community for visitors to the area so they can get acquainted with this beautiful region.
