What you can expect

Located just over 10 minutes north of Mission Beach, Clump Mountain National Park is a popular free, natural attraction the whole family can enjoy. Offering some of the best, untouched tropical lowland rainforest in Queensland, Clump Mountain National Park on the Cassowary Coast is an ideal day trip destination from Mission Beach. The Bicton Hill circuit walking trail is popular in the park and offers incredible views over the valley and ocean below. The short four kilometre trail is suitable for a range of ages and fitness abilities and offers visitors the chance to see a number of different Aussie animals including the elusive and dangerous, cassowary. The Bicton Hill lookout was originally used by the local Aboriginal people and then the first European residents as a ship lookout, however today it is a great way to explore this beautiful destination and enjoy spectacular views.
