Fly to Bathurst Island within the Tiwi Islands for an Aboriginal cultural day tour, an experience not to miss! Throughout the day, you'll venture into the Aboriginal community of Wurrumiyanga to learn about the unique culture of the Tiwi people including their bush medicine, traditional bush tucker and natural fibres and dyes.

While you're on this beautiful island, you'll also visit the museum to admire traditional Tiwi art, hear about the local Dreamtime stories and more! You'll also enjoy billy tea and damper for morning tea and a delicious picnic lunch on the island.

Other highlights for the day include attending a traditional smoking ceremony, visit a Tiwi burial site and a picturesque lookout and learn as much as you can about this rich indigenous culture.

This day tour includes return flights from the mainland, accommodation transfers, and transport on the island with commentary. Tours depart on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from April to November, departing at 8 am and return around 5:30 pm.
