What you can expect
Discover a hidden world that comes to life at night with a two-hour and 30-minute twilight tour at the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary. Located in the northeast of Canberra, join experienced nature guides on a walk through a biological preserve to learn about the sanctuary that protects many native and endangered species from their predators.
Your journey begins at the Wildbark Visitor Centre, where guides will take you to the best spotlighting area that night and will help you to use your provided redlight flashlight to spot and learn about thriving sanctuary wildlife. If you listen carefully, you might be lucky enough to witness eastern bettongs foraging for native truffles in the wild, or see kangaroos and wallabies feeding in their natural environment.
This experience is perfect for those interested in learning about the science behind animal and woodland conservation, or for those looking for a thrilling night adventure and a chance to get to know the furry friends that live here.

What you need to know
- Two-hour and 30-minute guided nature twilight spotlighting tour
- Red light torch rental
- Transport to and from the spotlighting area
- Water.
- This experience is available every Friday and Saturday at 8pm
- This experience is approximately two and a half hours in duration.
- The experience is located at the Wildbark Visitor Centre, 25 Rosenberg Street in Throsby, ACT 2914.
- Wear comfortable enclosed shoes
- Weather appropriate gear and clothing
- Water
- The maximum group size for this experience is 10 people.
- Tours will run in light rain. Tours will be cancelled in the case of heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, extreme heat and high winds gusting over 35km/h
- Twilight Tours are not currently easily access by wheelchairs. Please contact the Wildbark Visitor Centre to discuss.
- Maximum of 10 participants
- Participants can reschedule up to three hours before their tour
- Participants should be comfortable walking up to four kilometres
- In the event of light rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
