What you can expect
This half day abseiling adventure in the Blue Mountains includes three separate abseils measuring up to 25 metres along with some outstanding rocky views! With over 200 metres of cliff face in total to traverse over the course of 4 hours, you'll encounter a series of short rock climbs and cliffs on a route that showcases the scenery of the Blue Mountains lovely Megalong Valley. With incredible views and a spine-tingling challenge of abseiling through the narrow "Crack" section with nothing but air below you, this is an adventure that you're sure to not soon forget!

What you need to know
- Half day activity which consists of 3 abseils from up to 25 meters, over 200m of cliff traversing and short rock climbs
- The circuit takes you halfway down the escarpment overlooking the spectacular Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains
- Transfers are not included
- Public transport is available from Sydney Central Station to Katoomba Station. Express journey is approximately 2.5 hours with scenic city and bushland views
- Please note Katoomba station is a short drive from Boars Head and is not a walkable distance
- Abseiling adventures depart at 9am and 1pm
- This is a 4 hour activity
- Departure location for abseiling adventures is at Boars Head, Cahill's Lookout (Corner of Cliff Drive and Essendene Road, Katoomba)
- Wear active/sports/hiking clothes. Dress weather appropriate (check weather forecasts)
- Running shoes, joggers, trainers or hiking shoes. Shoes must be enclosed
- 1 litre of water or more
- Sunscreen
- Hair ties for long hair
- Sunglasses (optional)
- Small backpack (optional)
- Personal medication if required, e.g Asthma inhaler, Epipen etc
- The minimum age is 10 years old - previous exposure to abseiling recommended
- A moderate level of fitness is required
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have them complete a consent form in advance
- Please note a minimum of two people are required for this adventure to go ahead
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows will result in you forfeiting your experience
- A confirmation email with all the important details for tour will be emailed to you upon booking. Please read this email to be prepared for your tour.
- Availability is accurate at the time of booking, however, is subject to change due to circumstances out of our control.
- We strongly suggest reconfirming your booking with the tour operator within 24 hours of making your booking and prior to making other travel arrangements.
