Step into the world of Middle-earth on a full-day adventure from Auckland to the famous Hobbiton movie set. Leaving the city behind, you’ll journey through the Waikato region, where hills, rivers, and farmland set the scene for your magical day. Along the way, your guide will share stories as well as make surprise stops for scenic views, local treats, and photo opportunities.
On arrival, you’ll board the iconic green Hobbiton bus and join a guided two-hour and 30-minute tour of the 12-acre movie set. You will wander past hobbit holes, vibrant gardens, and hear behind-the-scenes stories from the making of the films. The experience ends in true Middle-earth style with a drink at the Green Dragon Inn.
