What you can expect

Join this full-day tour to Rotorua from Auckland, visiting two of the region’s most iconic attractions, Te Puia and Wai-O-Tapu, along with other scenic stops on the way. Begin your journey with a complimentary hotel pick-up in Auckland and set off through the rolling farmland of the Waikato countryside. Enjoy commentary from your expert guide, a stop for coffee at a special local spot, and a drive through the town of Tirau, known for its corrugated iron art. On arrival in Rotorua, a guided city highlights tour awaits, where you'll be driven around the town and see its iconic sights.

Next, you'll continue your adventure to Wai-O-Tapu, with around 90 minutes of free time to explore the geothermal landscapes. Take in the Champagne Pool, bubbling mud pits, and steaming volcanic features up close before moving on to Te Puia. Here you’ll enjoy a 90-minute guided tour that includes watching master carvers and weavers at work, visiting the Kiwi Conservation Centre, and witnessing the Pōhutu Geyser erupting up to 30 metres high. After a day of discovery, relax on the return journey to Auckland with a few surprise stops along the way. This day trip blends natural wonders, cultural heritage, and breathtaking scenery into one unforgettable adventure.
