What you can expect
Discover New Zealand’s North Island on this two-day small-group tour, combining world-famous attractions with cultural highlights and natural wonders. Your journey begins in Auckland, heading south through the Waikato countryside to the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Here, you’ll board a boat and glide beneath thousands of sparkling glowworms. Continue on to the Hobbiton Movie Set for a two-hour guided adventure through the Shire, exploring hobbit holes, lush gardens, and enjoying a complimentary drink at the Green Dragon Inn. Upon arrival at the next stop, Rotorua, you'll join a guided city highlights tour before checking into your central three-star hotel for the night.
On day two, kick things off at Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland, where you can wander among bubbling mud pools, steaming craters, and see the surreal colours of Champagne Lake and Devil’s Bath. From there, you'll continue south to Taupo, to visit Lake Taupo’s volcanic crater and stop to admire the powerful Huka Falls. After lunch, travel north to the Hamilton Gardens, where themed greenery transports you across cultures and centuries. The tour finishes with a scenic return drive to Auckland, with secret stops along the way.
