What you can expect

One of Alice Springs oldest buildings, the Adelaide House located next to the also historical John Flynn Memorial Church are a must visit on your next trip to Alice Springs. Offering a fantastic budget day out, the impressive Adelaide House was completed in 1926 after an eventful 7 years of construction that saw the design amended three times. Opened as Alice Springs first hospital by Doctor John Flynn, and used as the only medical centre in the area until 1939, Adelaide House now holds memorabilia and artefacts documenting the rich history of the building and its past duties. You can visit Adelaide House on Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Be sure to also make a quick detour next door to the John Flynn Memorial Church that was built to commemorate Doctor John Flynn and his achievements!
