What you can expect

Established in 1964, the Akaroa Museum offers a historically rich experience while visiting the Canterbury state on the South Island of New Zealand. The museum is home to art exhibits, archives of post-World One veterans as well as archaeological and zoology collections. The gallery is an extensive research unit and also hosts on-going art exhibits. The gallery recently went under expansive renovations to further reveal the colourful history of the South Island region.
