What you can expect

Featuring World Class wineries, you’ll feel like a VIP as you enjoy the kind of hospitality that only passionately family-owned wineries can offer. With our exquisite cellar door experiences Taste the Barossa captures the very essence of what makes the Barossa Valley one of the World’s greatest wine producing regions.

Enjoy the warmest of welcome’s as you taste an extensive range of wines, listen to unique stories and learn about everything wine and wine making. For lunch we enjoy some of the finest and freshest local foods on a delicious regional platter. Join us for a full day of tantalising wine, sumptuous food and a sprinkling of sightseeing.

Your Taste the Barossa bus will pick you up at one of our many pick-up locations around Glenelg or Adelaide. Relax and enjoy expert commentary from one of our knowledgeable tour guides as you head off on your Barossa Valley adventure. Travel the scenic route through the beautiful Adelaide Hills as you enjoy some information and humour along the way. Look out for Kangaroos, and Emu’s and marvel at the changing landscape as we approach the Barossa Valley.

Being a family business ourselves, we love to support other outstanding family businesses. Kies Family Wines is exactly that. With a warm welcome and a tag line of ‘The Taste of Happiness’ Kies family wines will make you feel super special. We are incredibly lucky to enjoy our first tasting experience in their amazing wine making facility, surrounded by huge wine vats affectionately named after their family members. An exclusive and unique experience tasting award winning wines.

Our next stop is the historic country town of Tanunda. Here you can amble along the high street, browse in the local shops, or grab yourself a coffee, and have a relaxing 20 mins of watching the world go by.

From Tanunda it’s onto the very beautiful and iconic Turkey Flat Vineyards. Once again, a passionate family-owned winery with a proud history dating back to 1847. Here we enjoy a wonderful, structured tasting before settling down to an incredible regional platter lunch of the highest quality. Made up of local meats, fresh breads, cheeses, pate and an assortment of other local delights, this is the perfect lunch during a day of wine tasting. There are also vegetarian, vegan and gluten free platters if you need. There’s no rushing your meal, with ample time to enjoy some good company and get to know your fellow travellers.

We head now to Menglers Hill lookout for a view and a half! Check out the Valley, see where you’ve been and where you’re heading.

Our 3rd Cellar door is a real gem of the Barossa; the stunning Rosenvale Vineyards, owned and operated by the 6th generation Rozenwieg family. The passion is palpable as Rosevale’s hosts invite you to indulge in a sensational wine tasting experience. Against the backdrop of the vineyard, this picture-perfect setting will certainly delight as you taste wines produced by the very vines that surround you. World Class is an understatement!

Finally, a scenic drive through Seppeltsfield will round off your perfect Barossa adventure, with time to grab a photo of the iconic Date Palms, learn about their fascinating origin, and the iconic Seppeltsfield legacy. Time now to sit back, listen to some quiet music and watch the scenery go by, or perhaps close your eyes for a quick nap, as we express back to Adelaide CBD for approximately 5:30pm and the finish of your perfect Barossa Adventure.

This tour blends historic wineries, wonderful regional food, breathtaking scenery and the people that make the Barossa Valley a truly World class region. This is a day you are bound to enjoy.
