Adelaide Kayaking Tour

Unique wildlife encounters like no other can be found around every corner in Adelaide. These school holidays why not try something different and join local guides for a gentle three-hour kayaking tour through a Dolphin Sanctuary. Beginners are welcome on these tours that will take the family on an easy paddle through calm waterways to spot local pods of dolphins. You’ll even get to see a historic shipwreck up close as you travel through the local Port River.

The guided kayaking tour takes off from Garden Island through the Port River and local mangroves. Participants will visit shipwrecks, tranquil creeks and see playful dolphins darting in and out of the waters throughout the 3 hour kayak tour. Adelaide Dolphin Kayaking Tours are available every Saturday and Sunday at 9am or 1pm.

Zoos & Wildlife Parks

We couldn’t overlook the many varied zoos and safari parks across Adelaide including Monarto Safari Park, Cleland Wildlife Park and of course, Adelaide Zoo.

Adelaide Zoo is the only place in Australia where you can see giant pandas while Monarto Safari Park offers a taste of Africa without the need for a passport. If you have small children then Cleland Wildlife Park in the Mount Lofty Ranges is our pick of the bunch with most of the animals free to roam allowing for a more hands-on experience.
