Horizons Kangaroo Sanctuary

What you can expect

A sanctuary for injured and orphaned kangaroos and joeys, Horizons Kangaroo Sanctuary provides an experience like no other and is perfect for wildlife lovers. The sanctuary is dedicated to rehabilitating and releasing these injured Aussie animals and owners Garry and Denise have been doing so for almost 10 years. The open plan sanctuary allows kangaroos to roam free and eventually be reintroduced to the wild. With little cubby houses and beds for joeys to sleep in, replicating the feeling of a mother's pouch, you can pet, feed and play with the animals with the Kangaroo Experience. The Kangaroo Experience takes visitors behind-the-scenes of the sanctuary to get up close to the animals and learn about how they're cared for. Additionally, the sanctuary has an onsite camping ground with tent and campervan sites available. Offering various facilities including showers, toilets and a camp kitchen, as well as both powered and unpowered sites.
