Castle Hill

Make your way up Castle Hill to experience the breathtaking panoramic views of Townsville. Rising up from the city’s residential and business sector, Castle Hill’s 286m peak is the ideal place to watch the sun rise. Relax after the climb and take in the breath-taking views of the city, ocean and the neighbouring Magnetic Island. There are over ten tracks that will take you up to the peak, some harder then others. Hikers can choose to climb without safety barriers on the Widow-Maker trail, take an easy stroll up with the Scramble Track or make it a short and sharp trip with The Goat Track. If you don’t feel like a hike, you can drive up the hill and get the same end result, minus the effort. You’ll feel on top of the world as you look over the town and ocean.
