Perth on Western Australia’s coast is a city known for its sandy white beaches, history and aquatic adventures but the fun doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down. There are a range of activities that you can do at night in Perth that don’t necessarily involve alcohol and are suitable for families, couples or travellers. If you are stuck for ideas for a romantic date night, group activity or family time then read on. From walking tours to dinner cruises, golf pubs, theatres, stargazing and rooftop cinemas- here is our list of the top things to do in Perth at night.

10. Stargazing at the Perth Observatory

Perth’s observatory gives visitors a glimpse into the universe and beyond on one of their night sky tours atop of the Bickley Valley. Discover nebulas, planets and stars looking into one of Australia’s most powerful telescopes. The golf venue instead resembles something more like a nightclub with strobe lighting, a dance floor complete with a live DJ and a bar pumping out cocktails in between teeing off alongside characters from your favourite movies and tv shows. The golf pub is elaborately styled and decorated with appearances from The Simpsons, Donald Trump and references to cult classic movies such as Rocky Hollow and Back to the future.

One of the most hotly anticipated events of the year in Perth is the annual Perth Festival that takes place for three weeks from mid February to March. The cultural arts festival features over 300 events, art exhibits and live talks that coincides with the writers’ week.
