What you can expect

For breathtaking views of the beautiful Port Lincoln coastline, make your way around Whalers Way, a 14-kilometre scenic coast drive. Drive along the rocky coast and explore all of the hidden beaches, grottos and caves where you can wade in the rock pools and spot some native Australian wildlife such as emus and kangaroos at the sanctuary area. Watch the waves crash into the rugged cliffs from the road or pull up at one of the many parking spots along the way. Points of interest are sign posted along the drive to give you the best views and vantage points looking over the area. There is a BBQ and camping ground at Groper Bay, accessed with a camping permit from the Visitor Centre and two surf beaches perfect for catching a wave or rock fishing, follow the signposts for directions to the areas.
