What you can expect

Originally opened in 1897, the Fremantle Markets have become a popular destination for locals and tourists. Spread over two sections; The Yard and The Hall, you can browse through over 150 unique market stalls, each selling a wide range of produce and products. The market houses various fresh, local produce stalls, indigenous and independent stalls such as authentic didgeridoos and boomerangs, all in a vibrant, enjoyable atmosphere thanks to the live performances and multiple buskers. Located around 20 minutes from the centre of Perth, visitors to the area should not pass up the chance to visit the famous Fremantle Markets. The markets are are open throughout the weekend as well as public holidays; both The Yard and The Hall are open for the majority of the weekend.
