Laguna Lookout Noosa

What you can expect

The ultimate panorama of Noosa is just a short drive away from the town's bustling hub of Hastings Street, and provides sweeping, expansive views that extend out as far as the Glasshouse Mountains in the distance. The site of Laguna Lookout itself is fairly simple - it's merely an extended terrace with a fenced barrier that juts out from the hillside, and there are no facilities such as picnic tables to speak of - however there's no denying it's the perfect spot for a photoshoot of Noosa's picturesque town/beach/waterway environment. The lookout is especially gorgeous to visit during sunset, as the colours play with the already pretty terrain to create something truly special. Grab some evening takeaway from town, head up the hill, and kick back and admire the lovely view accompanied by a bite to eat and a glass of wine for the perfect way to cap off any day in Noosa - and all just a 5 minute drive from the centre of town. Alternatively, more energetic travellers can instead opt to walk their way up a well-maintained path (around 1.3km in total) that's not particularly steep although does contain a substantial number of steps, making it both pram and wheelchair-unfriendly. Ample parking is available, and it's seldom too crowded at any time of day aside from right on sunset, while bringing along with it the occasional dash of native animal and bird life to boot.
