What you can expect

The Humboldt Falls Track is an easy grade track for those looking to explore Fiordland National Park surrounding Milford Sound. Spanning a total distance of 1.2 kilometres return the track is an easy 30 minute walk before reaching the lookout. Beginning from the end of the Hollyford Road, the unsealed track will lead you on a short climb through the rainforest before arriving to views of the cascading waterfall. The waterfall is 275 metres high and is only visible from the viewing platform or via a cruise. Considered one of New Zealand's must-see falls by many, make sure you bring your camera as the sheer size of this waterfall is just as impressive as the beautiful scenes it showcases.
