1. What does the average day look like for you?

The truth is there is no typical day. Regardless of what plans you have for your day, you’re dealing with personalities and needs of the 2000 individual animals that call Featherdale home, and they dictate what your day is like.

My days always start the same. A simple walk around the park to check on everyone. By doing this every single day, animals will always show you if something is not right. You might not know what it is right away, but you can still investigate.

2. Do you have a favourite part of the park?

Standing at the top of the main walkway, with that understory of trees that were planted 40 years ago, coupled with a sense of animal inundation around you - it's just breathtaking.

3. When you aren’t welcoming visitors, where can we find you holidaying in Australia and why?

All my holidays are based around wildlife parks and zoo – meeting with peers and friends and looking at what's happening at other zoos and wildlife parks.

4. Can you share any tips you have for visitors to Featherdale Wildlife Park?

Give yourself plenty of time. Being such a huge and diverse collection of Australian wildlife, you need to leave yourself long enough to enjoy the whole park. And be prepared - one visit to Featherdale is never enough!
