Take a step back in time and explore the Old Gold Mining Country by horseback in this fantastic Lake Trek and Gold Panning tour. For a unique way to discover Queenstown and its surrounding gems, look no further than this tour. Beginning with a one hour horse trek over the Ben Lomond Station, you'll travel across diverse terrain including creek crossings before reaching lake-front riding adding to the charm of this tour. Following your trek each rider will spend half an hour taking a step back in time with the opportunity to experience gold panning. Throughout your 1.5 hour journey, you'll be assisted by your knowledgable guides and talented horses, leaving you in very safe hands!
With all equipment included in the tour including helmets, saddlebags and more, all you have to bring is your camera and an adventurous spirit and you'll be ready for a day you'll never want to end! Be sure to wear covered in shoes and long pants or jeans for safety reasons! Do it by morning or opt for an afternoon tour as the perfect way to finish your day - whatever you choose the scenery you will encounter is bound to take your breath away. *SEASONAL TOUR : Oct - May only.
