Emily Sherwood 3 months ago For our Mt Wellington tour, we had Tim the Grayline Tour Guide. It was a cold, cloudy and rainy morning in Hobart with snow expected at the top of the mountain so right from the beginning Tim let us know the road to the summit was closed. However, he said we would head up there to see if the road reopened. We got to the Springs and the road was still closed but Tim let us get out at the site of the old hotel to experience the weather. It started to snow which was lovely. We then turned back around and visited the Cascade Brewery and Gardens, and the Female Factory. Tim took us to Mt Nelson which had beautiful views of Hobart, though not as good as Mt Wellington would have been. Overall we enjoyed our Saturday morning tour with Tim. He was very passionate, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We will endeavour to get back up the mountain with Grayline next time we go to Hobart.

We had an amazing time

We had an amazing time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and she tried to squeeze in all the info and experience she can (very patient and professional too). Mountain Wellington was breathtaking and cold! This is such a good tour if you're a little bit of time constraint. Looking forward to coming back to Hobart and booking a full day tour.

The tour is good however I find it a little pricey for the whole trip
Kim May 5 months ago

The tour is good however I find it a little pricey for the whole trip. We went out the mountain in the morning, have a shot coffee break and only have about 20 minutes at Mt. Wellington which is very short. Before we head back to Hobart we stop by at one of the convict's place shortly. It'd be great if we have more time at Mt. Wellington!

Had a good morning tour to Mount Wellington despite the cloud cover at the top
Colleen Smith 9 months ago

Had a good morning tour to Mount Wellington despite the cloud cover at the top. It was cool but not windy or too cold. The driver was clean, polite and informative and told us interesting facts along the way. We were told we could be picked up at our Hotel, however, despite advising our hotel reception where we were seated, the tour guide missed us the first time around, however, when I called we were told to go to the Campbell street pick up area and second time lucky for pick up. The bus appeared to be slightly bigger than the previous tour I was one and was roomy and air conditioning worked well and there were fewer people.

Beautiful views of Hobart

Beautiful views of Hobart, slightly bumpy ride however well worth it. Visited the female factor however tour could have included other features!

We did this tour and we had a great time

We did this tour and we had a great time. The driver arrived 20 minutes late but aside from that we had a great time. The tour guide knew a lot about Hobart and was not shy to share the information. He took us up to Mount Wellington on a really clear day and it was absolutely stunning! Definitely great driving skills as well driving up the mountain. Definitely would recommend this tour to someone who wants to go up to Mount Wellington but doesn't want to drive themselves.

We had a bad experience in the tour as we couldn't arrive the Mount Wellington as the road was closed
Felix Choi 1 year ago

We had a bad experience in the tour as we couldn't arrive the Mount Wellington as the road was closed. The driver should had told us earlier or offer refund to us before departure as he should had known from the official traffic announcement. Instead, he took us to Mount Nelson which was easily accessible by bus with only AUD 5 return and we had just been there a day before. This tour costed AUD49 was totally unacceptable and we hope compensation would be given.

The day dawned cloudy
Diane 2 years ago

The day dawned cloudy, which meant that a trip up Mount Wellington was out of the question; however, our very kind bus driver turned disappointment into sunshine with a trip up the not-quite-as-high Mount Nelson instead. The view over Hobart was probably not as spectacular, but it was definitely worth the trip. As well as Mount Nelson, we saw the Cascade Brewery and the Female Factory and were treated to lots of interesting information about Hobart.

It was a nice day

It was a nice day. A little bit cold up there but it worths it due to the amazing view you can have over Hobart.

We had great westher on this morning tour
Robert 3 years ago

We had great westher on this morning tour, so at the summit of mt Wellington there was a spectacular view waiting! Not only could we see Hobart and surrounding areas, but als many of the smaller islands (like Bruny island). The (big) bus was very comfortable. The driver, I personally didn't like too much especially his jokes (they were, and this only my personal opinion not funny at all...it is a daily repertoire...there is no need for it too). However I thought he was very informative, liked that! Ther was a photo stop at the cascade brewery..l think I really wasn't the only one thinking...why? There was a 15 minute stop at the women's factory in Hobart, that was a bonus!
