Whale Watching Cruises
Each year from Mid May – Mid November, visitors can experience Sydney Harbour whale watching cruises to take in the Humpback Whales northern and southern migration. In May, the whales travel north along the East coast to breed and give birth and then make their way back to the south from July to November, bound for Antarctica after spending several months in the warmer waters north.
With a 100% guarantee to see whales on all of the morning and afternoon cruises from June 1 to July 31 or receive a 50% refund OR a free return trip if no whales are sighted. This guarantee gives you an assurance that you will experience these maginificnet giants of the deep.
There are often other whales and marine life spotted on tour if you are fortunate, including the Southern Right Whale, both the Common and Bottlenose Dolphin, pelagic birds including a range of Albatross, and if you are lucky False Killer or Pilot Whales, Orcas, and the endangered Blue Whale, the largest living animal on the planet!
Whale Watching is seasonal. In Sydney, the annual migration of whales occurs between mid May to mid November.
