Skydive Duration

Please allow 3 hours for the entire experience.

Jump Times

Jumps are available on the hour from 8.30am - 2.30pm. This is subject to availability and weather.

What to bring

You will be provided with a jumpsuit, hat, goggles and gloves, so all you need to wear are warm layers and flat shoes. If you wear glasses, we have goggles that fit over top.

About the dive

Our skydive host will assist you to gear up and you will be briefed by one of our Tandem Masters. Your flight to altitude will take you high above the Rotorua thermal region, where you will have a birds eye view of the dramatic geothermal activity and forests.

Jumping directly above our Dropzone you will experience freefall of up to 60 seconds before your Tandem Master deploys the parachute and together you glide back to earth. The canopy ride takes approximately 5 minutes. Please allow 2 hours for the entire experience.

How long to I free fall for?

From 15,000ft you will freefall for 60 seconds From 12,000ft you will freefall for 45 seconds From 9,000ft you will freefall for 25 seconds

How fast do I free fall?

The maximum speed is about 200kph!!

How long is the flight?

It depends on which height you choose! But from 15,000ft it takes about 15 minutes to reach altitude.

What type of planes are they?

I wear prescription glasses, do I have to take them off for my skydive?

No! We have goggles that will fit over your glasses.

How do I get there?

Our meeting point is our Skydive Centre in the middle of town in Queenstown, from there we will take you to and from the Dropzone where you skydive. In Rotorua, we'll pick you up from your accommodation. This is included in the price.

Do you allow spectators?

Providing we have enough space in our buses we can take spectators for free. This won't be guaranteed and only available at the time of the trip. They are welcome to drive themselves to watch though.

Can I take my camera on the plane with me?

No, this is due to safety reasons, but you can take photos on the ground while getting ready. We do provide an option for photos and DVDs, which look amazing!

Can I drive to the Queenstown drop zone myself?

Yes you can, but you will still need to check in at the Nzone Skydive Centre for the briefing and then they will give you directions.

Terms and Conditions

100kg weight limit, those under 18 require parental/guardian consent.

Please be aware that skydiving is a very weather dependant activity and cancellations due to unsuitable weather conditions may occur, full refunds will be given if this occurs.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations prior to 24hrs before trip departure will incur no fee Cancellations between 24-12hrs before trip departure will attract 50% fee Cancellations within 12hrs before trip departure will incur 100% fee In the event of weather conditions cancelling the trip, full refunds will be made to the appropriate individual/agent.
