You will pass through rainforests, coastal and Hinterland towns as you head south towards Crystal Castle and into Australia’s best known alternative lifestyle region. Crystal Castle is an enchanting oasis of vision and serenity, a blend of natural and artistic beauty as seen in its maze of magnificent gardens, and as reflected in its statues and inspiring resting spots.

Onwards, you will pass through more scenic Hinterland splendour, until you arrive at the Cape Byron Lighthouse. You are bound to see whales on their annual calving migrations during June to November, from the many observation places at this panoramic lookout. You will also look down on the renowned magnificent wide sandy beaches and surf, and see some of the best coast scenes along Australia’s Pacific shoreline.

Byron Bay is a tourist’s delight, beckoning you to taste its cuisines, sunbake on its golden beaches, swim the clear waters or surf the breaks, or wander the streets, taking in the relaxing, laidback ambiance of the town. You have three hours to indulge your desires before you head north at the end of the day.
