Perth, sometimes referred to as "Australia's Western capital", is a large city situated on Australia's South-West coast that sits alongside the Indian Ocean to the West and the beautiful Swan River] - the conduit for making the region famous for its wine and wine cruises - to the East. Perth's unique blend of urban development, fair weather, and environmental beauty recently earned it a tie for the eighth-place ranking in respected worldwide publication The Economist's "Worlds Most Liveable Cities 2011".
