Flying

Perth Airport caters to both international and domestic flights, which is located approximately 12km from the Perth CBD. The international terminal is on the opposite side of the main runway from the domestic terminals.

Airport Shuttle

There is an airport shuttle that will take you to and from the airport to the city and also to the Fremantle area. The shuttle will take you directly to your home or accommodation and leaves at regular intervals. Booking is not essential but would be a good idea.

Boat

The port of Fremantle accepts a limited number of passenger ships which dock there, including a number of round-the-world cruise ships. Sailing into Perth from across the Indian Ocean is possible but is a length and expensive way in.

Train

The transcontinental railway, the Indian Pacific, runs across the country from Perth to Sydney via the cities of Kalgoorlie, Adelaide and Broken Hill. The journey is fairly expensive but is one of the greatest train journeys in the world, taking four days and three nights across the longest stretch of straight track of any railway in the world while traversing the mighty Nullarbor plain.

There are currently no scheduled coach services across the Nullabor Plain, so those wishing to travel by road may wish to consider one of the many available adventure-oriented tours that include camping and sightseeing or by renting a car.
