Whale Watching
Brisbane whale watching cruises operate out of Moreton Bay from June, when pods of humpbacks commence arriving for a rest and frolic, before continuing to their northern birthing grounds. The cruises continue until November, observing the whales returning on their southwards journey to Antarctic waters, with their calves. Tangalooma also provides a port of call for whale watchers, with trips beginning their annual cycle from June through to October.
Enjoy a close, eyeball-to eyeball encounter these gentle mammoths of the ocean, as they breach, slap and frolic, in their inquisitive way, around you. Pre bookings are recommended and essential during school holidays. Please remember that whale watching is SEASONAL. You can still browse the fabulous whale watching options available and get ready for the upcoming year. Whale Watching from Brisbane will commence again from July until November, as in most regions.
