Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
As the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary comes complete with no only 130 koalas, but a huge range of interactive animal exhibits that allow you and the kids to get up close, hand feed and cuddle the various native and exotic animals all within wide open, beautiful and natural settings. The park provides plenty of activities for both young and older children, offering a great place for kids to learn about koala habitats and even hold a koala. Accessible in well under an hour from Brisbane, each theme park offers a different aspect of fun for the family that will be best suited to different families and age groups of kids. Dreamworld provides a heavy emphasis on thrill rides but also has several "worlds" that accommodate for the younger kids.
