Things to do with Kids in Brisbane
Make the most of the comfortable weather in Brisbane city and get your kids out of your hotel to experience all the great offerings the area and its surroundings provides! From wildlife experiences to theme parks to great family fun activities, there is something here to please both the older crowd of kids as well as younger children. So what are some of the best things to do with kids in and outside of Brisbane? Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
As the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary comes complete with no only 130 koalas, but a huge range of interactive animal exhibits that allow you and the kids to get up close, hand feed and cuddle the various native and exotic animals all within wide open, beautiful and natural settings. The park provides plenty of activities for both young and older children, offering a great place for kids to learn about koala habitats and even hold a koala. Sheep shearing events, wombat feeding, Tasmanian Devils and Kookaburras all combine together to make this a great place that isn't to be missed for family bonding.
The facility is constantly having improvements made to the facilities and exhibitions that will keep you busy throughout the day, and once you or the kids are starting to feel fatigued, there are also plenty of grassed and rest areas that can provide a space in the shade for both tired kids and parents, with pram hire also available for those with youngsters.

Visit the Gold Coast's Theme Parks
As the majority of the Gold Coast's theme parks are located around halfway between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, spending a day at Dreamworld, MovieWorld, or Wet 'n' Wild is a more than feasible adventure that the kids will love! Accessible in well under an hour from Brisbane, each theme park offers a different aspect of fun for the family that will be best suited to different families and age groups of kids. Dreamworld provides a heavy emphasis on thrill rides but also has several "worlds" that accommodate for the younger kids. Wet 'n' Wild is a water park that will appeal to those who love watersides and the water in general, while MovieWorld provides a nice balance between both shows and live entertainment with thrill rides of its own.

Ride the Wheel of Brisbane
The Wheel of Brisbane is a giant observation wheel that provides awesome, 360 degree panoramic views that stretches out as far as the eye can see, giving you an uplifting experience almost 60 metres above the ground. This must-do attraction provides something for people both young and old that the parents and kids will both enjoy, with heavily discounted prices for toddlers and kids at cheaper prices than adults. Each of the wheel's air-conditioned gondolas can accommodate up to six adults and two children in comfort, meaning even larger families can all ride together to help soothe the stage fright any of the youngsters might have!
