School Holiday Fun for Everyone with the Launch of the Vibrant Surfers Paradise Festival!
Colourful lanterns light up the Streets of Surfers Paradise!
There is great fun to be had, in and around Surfers Paradise these school holidays where entertaining the family doesn’t have to cost the earth! This week saw the launch of the vibrant Surfers Paradise Festival - kicking off with a colourful Lantern Parade. There will be a whole lot of interesting (and FREE!) events, displays, and concerts for all to enjoy, throughout June and into July.
Check out the exciting atmosphere of the Australian Street Entertainment Championships from 29th June -1st July featuring magicians, jugglers, acrobats and musicians bedazzling passers by with creative and energetic displays of talent. There are also free beach concerts featuring internationally acclaimed bands at LAUNCH IT Friday 22nd-24th June and of course everyone loves a fireworks display or two!
Throughout the festival you simply can’t miss the colourful Magic Bus playing acoustic ‘music on the move’ around the streets of Surfers Paradise from June 23rd. For photography fans – pay a visit to CAPTURED, a community arts project promoting Surfers Paradise and its talented photographers of all levels. Other awesome Surfers Paradise events throughout the festival include; A la Carte in the Park, SIPFEST the outdoor film festival, and later in July the One Way Street Party is set to be another big hit this year.
Of course there are all sorts of other exciting Gold Coast activities and attractions including the always-popular theme parks, Dreamworld, White Water World, Wet ‘n’ Wild, Movie World and Sea World. For the more bizarre you can check out Ripleys Believe it or Not odditorium and the spooky Dracula’s Haunted House is always a lot of fun! Why not check out the views and get your bearings at SkyPoint Observation Deck, see whales at play on a whale watching cruise or head off to a great night out to see the fantastic Jabbawokeez.
