2010 Cairns Festival
North Queensland’s annual 2 week Festival of fun and mayhem kicks off August 20. Visitors to the area will be treated to parades, music, comic and theatrical entertainment, cultural experiences, food, arts and colour. It also includes the Cairns Amateurs Carnival on September 3 and 4, the largest horse racing weekend in the tropical north, and largest annual event on the Cairns social calendar.
So, if you are planning to be in Cairns for the Festival…..why not visit some of the local attractions, join a tour to a national park or the reef, or enjoy some of the activities available on the water.
