Ayers Rock & Alice Springs Day Tours
Tour to Alice Springs, which lies in the heart of Central Australia and is comprised of cavernous gorges, boundless desert landscapes, remote Aboriginal communities and a charming pioneering history. Established by the early explorers from the early 1900s, the vast desert of Central Australia was explored for its promise of rubies and gold. Today, visitors can still fossick for gems and explore the magnificent desert landscapes in the region.
In Alice Springs and its surrounds the art styles and stories of the Aboriginal people give meaning to the surrounding landscape. The most well-known natural highlights of Alice Springs are the East and West MacDonnell Ranges as well as Ayers Rock, now commonly known by it's Aboriginal name "Uluru". Uluru holds deep Aboriginal significance to the Anangu people, and many stories are told as one wanders around it's base. The only way to truly experience Uluru is to visit it. Other "must see" sites in the region include Palm Valley, Mt Conner and a definite visit to an Outback Catlle Station for a truly authentic Aussie experience.
